PURGATORIO WONDERLAND
BY ANDREA THOME
Purgatorio Wonderland – 2020/21
Production Stage Manager
Dir. Alex Correia

Purgatorio Wonderland was Kai's first college Production Stage Manager credit. The show was one of the most challenging shows she has worked on. She is proud of the work that was accomplished doing live, in-person theatre during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Director's Note:
Purgatorio Wonderland explores the migration experiences of children to explore journeys between worlds, nations and peoples, and the space between life and death. It’s come to me in fragments, dreamlike, influenced by migration tales (of children coming from Central America alone, of refugees on boats) and by the journeys through the underworld and paradise in Dante’s Purgatorio and Mohammed’s Night Journey (which inspired Dante).

ZOOM PRODUCTIONS
EVERYTHING YOU LOVE
BY ERIC MICHA HOLMES
Everything You Love (An Auto Play) – 2020/21
Stage Manager
Dir. Terrence I Mosley

Everything You Love is the second Zoom production Kai has worked on. It was naturally one of the most unique experiences she has worked on.
THE LARAMIE PROJECT
BY MOISÉS KAUFMAN
The Laramie Project – 2019/20
Assistant Stage Manager
Dir. Dennis Reid

The Laramie Project was the first Zoom production Kai has ever worked on. The show was in the middle of in-person rehearsals when the COVID-19 pandemic hit and we went into quarantine. There were many variations of how the show would be performed. It ended up being filmed over Zoom, edited and uploaded to Vimeo for a limited time. Kai says it was one of the most challenging and rewarding productions she has worked on.
